Arkansas Voter Assembly of NWA
November 5, 2008
TBA Fayetteville, AR 72701 I am a network technician with a degree in Information Technology. The computer systems being used to count our votes can not be trusted because they can't be verified. The systems are not secure and they need to be eradicated until policies, standards, and essential securities are tested and integrated. Until that time we need to vote on paper ballots that are hand counted. We deserve an election system of the highest integrity that can be trusted, tested, and verified. full story: http://www.velvetrevolution.us/prosecute_rove/ UPDATE: 11/1/08: Late yesterday, a Federal Judge in Akron, Ohio ordered Mike Connell to submit to a deposition hours before the presidential election to talk about possible election manipulations. The full story is here. Mr. Connell, it’s time to tell the truth and get with the new dynamic, the one called accountability. Yours is the first of many depositions to get to the bottom of this shameful chapter in American democracy. You have a unique opportunity to do the right thing now. The Bush family is not going to protect you or cover for you any longer. UPDATE: 10/28/08: Attorneys filed a motion to compel testimony of Connell to interrogate him about his knowledge of the inter-workings of the GOP computer systems. See Memo here. They included an affidavit of Spoonamore stating that the Ohio 2004 election was manipulated by a inside Man in the Middle King Pin attack. See Affidavit here. full story: http://www.velvetrevolution.us/prosecute_rove/ Here is the plan. Regardless of the declared presidential victor, this Wednesday, we will gather in Voter Assemblies, and we will act:
A. If there is reason to believe that the election is likely to be stolen, as was the case in Florida 2000, we will act to prevent this from happening – pressing to prevent the theft and, if that is impossible, demanding a new, honest election. Location: TBAB. If it is unclear whether voting rights violation rise to the level of election theft, as was the case in Ohio 2004, we will mobilize everywhere to demand a full and complete count of the vote. C. If it appears that the election result was defined by the rigging of the process, we will rally nationwide to press for progress in enacting democratic reforms. I do believe the democratic process prevailed this time! However - we still have an election system with widespread problems and now is our time to focus on improving the process. I personally believe there needs to be a rewind on electronic voting as current technology only complicates an effective paper system that could be implemented with minimal cost and increased verifiability. If you are interested in joining election reform efforts, feel free to contact me and I will give you many many resources.
