Philadelphia Liberty Bell Voter Assembly

5:00 PM until approx 6pm, maybe laterNovember 5, 2008
6th & Market, SE corner (or as close as possible)
Philadelphia, PA 19106

I don't really have time to organize this, but if anywhere needs a focal point, it's Philadelphia. This is only an action if enough people show up, and part of that is going to be whether there's a good reason to show up. So if something happens, and you get angry, be there and I'll do my best. Bring warm clothes and an appropriate sign, for example: COUNT OUR VOTES / WE DEMAND A RECOUNT / AMERICA STARTED HERE, WILL IT END HERE?

6th & Market, SE corner (or as close as possible)

And if you can help organize, please e-mail or call me!

This is really short notice, but it would be worthwhile to see who shows up and talk about organizing a future meeting.

OK folks, given the decisive outcome of the election (despite many problems that remain with our election system) it seems that this is not the time for a rally. Those who wish to assemble and talk about future organizing are welcome to do so of course. We may also be able to do that through this website. I would also recommend getting involved with groups like Common Cause who do great work on this issue. http://www.commoncause.org/pennsylvania

History has a long-range perspective. It ultimately passes stern judgment on tyrants and vindicates those who fought, suffered, were imprisoned, and died for human freedom, against political oppression and economic slavery.
